nanoSUS
Rosies Base LLC developed grain-size-controlled stainless steel by creating a novel rolling process. We call our nano-structured stainless steel “nanoSUS.”

The nanoSUS Advantage
It is well known that when grain size becomes smaller, the material becomes stronger.
Our research has proven that nano-structured materials offer significant processing advantages over coarser-grained materials:
Cutting
Drilling
Drawing
Piercing
Bending
Pressing

Antibacterial Action
Nano-textured surfaces, including nanoSUS, have been shown to have antibacterial properties, making them ideal for use in medical devices. Rosies Base LLC is conducting studies to better define the antibacterial properties of nanoSUS.
Additionally, we are conducting studies to further define nanoSUS‘s compatibility with mammalian cells, such as osteoblasts and fibroblasts.
Developing Novel Biomaterials
Rosies Base LLC is working on developing a new biomaterial for the medical device industry.

In the Heart of Japan's Ultra-High-Precision Manufacturing Cluster
Rosies Base LLC’s parent company, Komatsuseiki Kosakusho Co., Ltd. (also know as KSJ), is located in the Suwa area of Japan, famed for its cluster of ultra-high-precision manufacturers. With a more than 30% share of the global electronic–controlled fuel injector part market, and using the Suwa cluster network, Rosies Base LLC can produce high-accuracy parts with nanoSUS.
